Enghouse Networks Wins Open Innovation Catalyst Award at TM Forum DTW Ignite 2026
Markham, Ontario – July 2, 2026 – Enghouse Networks today announced that its Inter-Operator Composability for Emergency Response: OmniBOSS – Phase III Catalyst received the Open Innovation Catalyst Award for Showcase & Storyline Excellence at TM Forum DTW Ignite 2026. The project was also recognized as a finalist in the Outstanding Catalyst – Business Gamechanger and Outstanding Catalyst – TM Forum Asset Excellence categories.
Developed in collaboration with Mauritius Telecom, Safaricom, Sri Lanka Telecom, Esri, and TAUSPACE, the Catalyst demonstrates how communications service providers (CSPs) can securely collaborate across organizational boundaries to accelerate network restoration and improve emergency response during large-scale disasters.
Inspired by the challenges operators face during natural disasters, the project explores a new operational model where multiple CSPs can dynamically compose network resources, coordinate field operations, and prioritize critical communications through TM Forum Open APIs, AI-driven orchestration, digital twins, and policy-based governance. The result is a trusted, real-time operational environment that enables faster restoration of essential communications while maintaining security, transparency, and commercial accountability.
“Communications networks are critical infrastructure, especially during emergencies, yet operators still respond largely in isolation,” said Val Vaduva, Chief Technology Officer at Enghouse Networks. “This Catalyst demonstrates how open standards, composable architectures, and AI can enable operators to securely collaborate across organizational boundaries, improving response times while maintaining governance, trust, and commercial accountability. We’re honored that this work has been recognized by TM Forum and proud to have collaborated with our partners on advancing a more resilient approach to emergency response.”
TM Forum’s Catalyst Awards recognize collaborative proof-of-concept projects that use working code to solve real industry challenges while advancing TM Forum standards and industry innovation. At DTW Ignite 2026, the Inter-Operator Composability for Emergency Response: OmniBOSS – Phase III Catalyst received the Open Innovation Catalyst Award for Showcase & Storyline Excellence and was also named a finalist in the Outstanding Catalyst – Business Gamechanger and Outstanding Catalyst – TM Forum Asset Excellence categories.
Built on TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and Open APIs, the Catalyst extends industry standards to enable real-time, multi-operator emergency coordination through trusted data sharing, policy-driven governance, AI-assisted decision-making, and automated commercial settlement. The solution demonstrates how communications providers can restore critical services more quickly while maintaining operational transparency and commercial accountability.
