The higher speed, increased bandwidth, and improved stability of 5G will power the next generation of mobile telecommunications and spur the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). But putting up new infrastructure is only part of the equation.
Bouygues Telecom is a mobile telephony, internet, and IPTV company that aims to provide rural populations with the same high-speed and high-bandwidth connectivity enjoyed in urban centers, thus bridging the digital divide. One of their largest projects was to deploy a new fiber-optic infrastructure in underserved regions and upgrade their existing infrastructure where they already operate. Thanks to Enghouse NetDesigner, Bouygues Telecom was able to bring broadband to France’s most remote regions.
