Webinar description
With the advent of 4G and 5G technologies, wireless networks can now use IP-based protocols for delivery of all services. Some data-driven services (such as SIM-based IoT and 5G messaging), still rely on services and technologies originally developed for earlier network generations.
The 5G specifications still provide for SMS in the wireless network and many thousands of IoT devices receive weekly, if not daily, configuration updates via SIM OTA. Many services throughout the world use the mobile device as one of the factors in authenticating the identity of service subscribers. While Push Notifications provide an IP-based alternative to SMS for delivery of One-time passcodes, SMS is still most convenient for a great many registration services. The security and integrity of such messages is a key concern for service providers and Enghouse Networks is at the forefront of vendors supporting specialized solutions in this space.
John Hurley, Chief Product Manager VAS & Security, presents the innovation and value that Enghouse Networks adds in the transition to all-IP services.
