Session Border Controllers (SBCs) serve a variety of very useful functions but the commercial benefits of delivering SBC capabilities are not as well understood by service providers as they might be.
Some enterprises have deployed their own SBC solutions – but many more would either struggle to manage yet more infrastructure, however. Providing SBC capabilities as a managed service is a clear opportunity for service providers, enhancing enterprise communications and security.
