Key Features

MMSC - Key Features
  • Media Transcoding

The Enghouse Networks MMS Transcoder provides real-time transcoding and will accept and perform real-time media adaptation on many types of images, audio and video content.

  • Integrated WAP GW

This optional module provides compatibility with features phones supporting the old legacy WAP stack. The module also provides an easier way to integrate the MMSC with the GGSNs/PGWs that do not support embedding the MSISDN of the sender into an HTTP Header.

  • Message Studio & MPSS

With the Message Composer and Media Store features, subscribers can create and send their own MMS online. These MMS messages can be composed using subscribers’ uploaded images and sounds, or those from a third party.

Extending the logic of email, the MPSS module provides the subscriber with online storage to view past sent and received items. This module can be easily incorporated with the MMS Studio to offer the subscriber a complete feature-rich set of services.

  • A2P MMS Optimizer

The MMSC can be deployed as an Application-2-Person MMS Optimiser using software optimisation techniques such as pre-transcoding, optimised storage and bulk notifications to facilitate an increase in the number of transactions per second, allowing efficient handling of huge peaks in traffic that occur over short periods.

  • Number Portability Support

Number portability can be supported using either the Enghouse Networks signalling interface unit (MAP), or by retrieving the routing information from external MNP databases.
